Overview

FlowLeaf is a productivity app designed for neurodivergent minds. We believe your personal data deserves the same care and attention we put into our app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Data We Collect

FlowLeaf is designed to minimize data collection. Here's what we handle:

• Account Data: Your display name (stored only on your device via UserDefaults).
• Task & Habit Data: Tasks, habits, and focus records you create are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device.
• Energy Preferences: Your current energy level selection is stored locally on your device.
• Purchase Data: Pro upgrade purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We receive a transaction receipt to verify your purchase status — we do not see your payment details.

What We Don't Collect

• No personal identification documents
• No location data
• No browsing history
• No analytics or tracking (no third-party analytics SDKs)
• No advertising identifiers
• No data sold to third parties — ever

Data Storage

All your data lives on your device. FlowLeaf does not operate a backend server, database, or cloud service. Your tasks, habits, and focus records are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and standard UserDefaults.

AI Features

FlowLeaf uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence) to provide smart energy suggestions and task breakdowns. These features are available to all users at no additional cost on supported devices (iOS 26+ with Apple Intelligence enabled).

• Energy Suggestions: When you create a task, FlowLeaf analyzes the title to suggest an energy level. On devices with Apple Intelligence, this uses on-device AI. On other devices, a local keyword-based classifier is used.
• Task Breakdowns: AI can break down tasks into actionable sub-steps. This requires Apple Intelligence and is processed entirely on your device.
• No Data Transmission: No task data, titles, or AI results are ever sent to any server. All processing happens locally on your device.

Third-Party Services

• Apple App Store / StoreKit 2: Used for processing Pro upgrade purchases. Subject to Apple's own privacy policy.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, it remains until you delete the app or clear app data. Uninstalling FlowLeaf removes all associated data.

Children's Privacy

FlowLeaf does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require an account, email, or any personal information to use.

Your Rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app.
• Deletion: Delete the app to remove all data.
• Export: Use iOS Settings → FlowLeaf to manage local data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
