SiteQuote Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
SiteQuote collects the following information to provide contractor quote and booking management services:
- Company Information: Company name, license number, insurance number, address, phone, and email
- Quote Data: Client names, project descriptions, line items, quantities, unit prices, and tax rates
- Booking Data: Client name, phone, email, preferred date/time, and job description (submitted via QR code booking form)
- Photos: Job site photos attached to quotes (stored locally on your device)
- Calendar Events: Scheduled dates and reminders for quotes and bookings (Pro feature)
- Invoice & Payment Records: Client names, invoice line items, amounts, due dates, and payment entries you record (stored locally on your device)
- Subscription Status: An Apple-provided transaction identifier linked to your subscription, used solely to maintain your Pro entitlement (see Subscriptions section below)
💳 Subscriptions (SiteQuote Pro)
If you subscribe to SiteQuote Pro (monthly or annual):
- Payment: All billing is handled by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or store your payment card details
- Entitlement Data: Apple provides us with a transaction identifier (originalTransactionId) and subscription lifecycle events (renewal, upgrade, refund, expiration) so the app and our backend can maintain your Pro status. This identifier is not shared with any third party
- No Profiling: Subscription data is used only to unlock Pro features — never for advertising or tracking
📋 Booking & Push Notifications
When you use the QR code booking feature:
- Client Data: Your clients' names, phone numbers, emails, and job descriptions are stored on our secure backend server to enable booking management and email notifications
- Push Notifications: A device token is registered with Apple Push Notification service (APNs) so you receive real-time alerts when new bookings arrive. This token does not contain personal information
- Email Notifications: Booking confirmations and status updates are sent to your clients' email addresses via Alibaba Cloud DirectMail
All booking data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected by parameterized queries on our backend.
AI-Powered Suggestions (Pro Feature, iOS 26+)
When you use the AI suggestion features, your data is processed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Foundation Models. No quote data, descriptions, or AI results are sent to any server.
- Smart Descriptions: Generates project descriptions from your keywords
- Line-Item Suggestions: Recommends items and prices based on your past quotes
- Follow-Up Messages: Drafts professional follow-up messages for sent quotes
- Data Retention: All AI data stays on your device. Nothing is transmitted externally.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely for:
- Creating, managing, and tracking quotes and invoices
- Managing bookings from QR code submissions
- Sending push notifications for new bookings and status updates
- Sending booking confirmation and cancellation emails to your clients
- Generating PDF documents with your company letterhead
- Scheduling calendar events with reminders
- Exporting data to CSV for accounting
- Providing AI-powered suggestions (Pro, processed on-device)
- Maintaining your subscription (Pro) status across devices and reinstalls
3. Data Storage
On-Device Storage: Your quotes, companies, bookings, and photos are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. CloudKit Private DB syncs this data across your devices via iCloud.
Backend Storage: Booking data (client name, phone, email, job details) is stored on our secure backend server to enable the QR code booking workflow and client email notifications. Subscription entitlement records (transaction identifier and active/inactive status) are stored on the same backend solely to keep your Pro features unlocked.
AI Processing: All AI features run on-device via Apple Foundation Models. No internet connection required.
Push Notifications: Device tokens are stored on our backend solely to deliver booking notifications. Tokens are automatically removed when they expire.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your information to outside parties. Your data is yours alone.
PDFs and CSVs you export are shared only through iOS system share sheet — you control who receives them.
Booking data is shared only between you (the contractor) and your client via automated email notifications.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data stored in the app
- Export data via PDF and CSV
- Delete all on-device data by uninstalling the app
- Delete all backend booking data by deleting your company profile in the app
- Request deletion of any backend records (bookings, device tokens, subscription status) at any time by emailing support@lyc.yun
6. Security
Data is protected by:
- iOS device encryption (when passcode is enabled)
- HTTPS encryption for all network communications
- HMAC-SHA256 signed API requests (tamper-proof)
- On-device AI processing (no data transmitted to any AI server)
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
7. Children's Privacy
SiteQuote is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Data Retention
On-device data persists until you delete it or uninstall the app. Backend booking data for completed or declined bookings is automatically removed after 90 days.

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be reflected on this page.
